triple j’s Bars of Steel is making its live debut in May with a free one-day event featuring the best hip hop and rap talent from in and around Western Sydney. We’re taking over the car park at 119 Macquarie Street, Parramatta, with live sets from Youngn Lipz, A.GIRL, Vv Pete, Becca Hatch, Gold Fang, FRIDAY*, Isaac Puerile and LEE. with more special guests to be announced.
Off the back of triple j’s Bars of Steel – our freestyle studio series, which has seen some of the best established and emerging artists step into the booth and show us what they’ve got – and following on from our Blacktown cypher, we’re taking things one step further later this month with a live event championing Western Sydney’s music scene.
triple j’s Bars of Steel Live is a drug-and-alcohol-free event and open to anyone aged 16 years or older. Enter the ballot for your chance to score two free tickets for you and a mate! You’ll receive an email confirming whether you’ve been successful. No entry allowed to the event without a ticket. Please bring your Proof of Age card. School ID's will not be valid.
